Neuron Computer Services, LLC is a rapidly growing small to medium IT consultancy in the Southern California area. Specifically, we serve clients throughout the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Fernando Valley, and San Diego areas. We also serve clients nationwide via remote technical support, our hosted web & email services, as well as cloud hosting services. Currently, the following positions are open for hire:
On-site/Remote Support Technician
We are looking for a technician that would like around 5 – 10 hours a week. College students are encouraged to apply.
This position is very flexible – we schedule the technician’s hours around their schedule.
Higher Class of Technicians – because of low overhead costs, our technicians are paid at a higher rate. Having a flexible schedule is a very attractive perk as well. Because of this, we get to pick the cream of the crop. This, of course, means that our technicians are the best of the best and clients expect nothing less.
The following qualifies you for this position: Knowledge of all Windows software. Knowledge of computer repair and network troubleshooting. Must have a cell phone with text messaging capabilities, a dependable vehicle, a valid drivers license, and a laptop computer for in-house and in-office service calls.
The following are some tasks you will need to perform:
- Network (Wireless and Hardwired) Setup and Configuration
- Computer Hardware Troubleshooting and Replacement
- Training (Group and One-On-One) Sessions
- Data Backup and Retrieval
- Virus & Spyware Removal
- Software and Application Troubleshooting
Skills Desired
- Friendly, personable, and positive attitude with a twist of marketing/salesmanship
- Willing to learn and stay current with the latest technology and trends
- Strong analytical, prioritization, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of PC, Linux, and Mac environments
- Articulate – able to communicate effectively across various functional disciplines.
- Proven ability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Must be creative, resourceful, decisive, and resilient; all the time using good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal direction.
